- Connect your Samsung device to your PC. Copy the boot.tar file and paste it to your phone’s internal storage.
- Open Magisk App.
- Tap on Install → Install → Select and Patch a file. (Note: Make sure Recovery Mode is Unchecked.)
- Navigate to the internal storage and select the boot.tar file that you previously copied to the phone.
- Once the file is selected, tap on “LET’S GO.”
- Wait until Magisk patches the file.
- The patched image file can be found in the “Downloads folder.”
- Ramdisk: No
- Head over to the extracted folder, find recovery.img.lz4 file and create a tar archive. (you can watch this video tutorial).
- Connect your Samsung device to your PC. Copy the recovery.tar file and paste it to your device’s internal storage.
- Open Magisk App.
- Tap on Install → Install → Select and Patch a file. (Note: Make sure Recovery Mode is Checked.)
- The rest steps are the same as above.
- Ramdisk: Yes
- Copy magisk_patched.tar file from your phone Downloads folder and paste it to your PC/Laptop.
- Reboot your Samsung Galaxy S8 device into Download mode.
- Power Off your device.
- Press and hold both the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons at the same time.
